Cyclone Ditwah – Disaster Relief Appeal

Dear Friends

Sri Lanka continues to face a severe humanitarian crisis following the floods and landslides caused by Cyclone Ditwah in late 2025. Lives have been lost, homes destroyed and essential infrastructure devastated.

Disaster Relief including dry rations, medicines and temporary shelter continue to be needed for those displaced. Longer term support is also vital to help communities rebuild their lives and restore basic services.

As always, it is the most vulnerable who suffer the worst. These are the communities the Sri Lanka Society has helped for over 50 years through the many trusted organisations whose projects we have supported.

The Sri Lanka Society’s “Cyclone Ditwah – Disaster Relief Appeal” set up through PayPal seeks donations from individuals and corporate partners. Every penny donated goes directly to relief efforts and to the rebuilding of lives and essential services in Sri Lanka for the communities that have suffered the most. There will be no administrative deductions by us or by the local organisations in Sri Lanka we support.

Funds will be channelled through established and rigorously vetted local organisations whose work we know and trust, ensuring that your support reaches those who need it swiftly, transparently and effectively.

Donations can be made via PayPal by either clicking the Donate button or by making a bank transfer, our bank account details are provided below.

Please help if you can. Every donation makes a difference.

If you are a UK taxpayer, please complete the Gift Aid Declaration form on the “How to donate” page of our website.
